Why Health Care?
- I am following in my mother’s footsteps. Mother was an incredible woman, and a nurse. She was a graduate of Henry Ford Hospital School of Nursing and worked in many different settings. But I am most proud of her as an Army nurse during World War II. She served off the coast of Normandy on D-Day. She retired as the afternoon charge nurse in the coronary care unit. She was the most amazing person. It is my prayer to be half the nurse that she was every day of her life.
- My nursing career began in the emergency room. After working there and in other critical care settings, I began work with an infusion therapy team. Infusion Nursing became my passion. The delivery of high quality infusion services by skilled infusion nurses is the reason I go to work every day. I strive to encourage to work to achieve their certification in infusion therapy. To that purpose, I developed and teach a course to prepare nurses to take the national board examination.
