No, we do not. However, there may be exceptions that you are not aware of. This is determined case by case and our Intake Nurse at Dobson Healthcare can assist you with determining if we may be able to help with services. you can reach our Intake Nurse at 1-866-866-8984.
3. How can I pay for Services?
There are several ways. The most commonly known is “private pay” or out-of-pocket. However, there are other resources as well such as:
- VA Benefits
- You must be enrolled at the VA to qualify for home care services. Please contact our intake nurse for more information at 1-866-866-8984.
- Private Pay
- Long-Term Care Insurances
- Medicare Supplemental Insurances
- Auto Insurance (if you have been involved in an accident and your care is directly related)
- Worker’s Compensation
- Trust Funds
- Disease Organizations
- If you have a disease such as ALS, there are funds available through their associations for some services.
- Other 3rd Party Insurances
4. What is the difference between “Private Duty Home Care” and “Certified (Medicare) Home Healthcare”?
There are several differences:
- Private Duty Home Care provides hourly care while Certified Home Care provides visit care. Once your services are considered complete, a certified home care company will no longer be able to assist you. Private Duty home care is able to stay in your home as long as you need under the provisions of your payer source. If it is out-of-pocket, we will stay as long as you need us.
- Certified Home Care accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and Primary Insurance. Private Duty Home Care does not.
5. I have never shopped for home care before, what do I need to look for?
Please review this Information Sheet. It will provide questions that you should look for. Dobson Healthcare recommends that you always interview several companies. This will allow you and your family to compare the differences, determine what you are looking for in a a company, and ensure that you are comfortable with your choice.
