SERVICES & STAFFING
Service Areas
Skilled Nursing - For patients who need specialized medical care, Dobson Healthcare professionals can administer medication and provide medical treatments, including infusion therapy, wound care and other skilled services. Skilled nursing care at home can help you leave the hospital sooner or even replace a hospital admission. Registered nurses oversee all care plans and communicate regularly with you, your physician, family and caregivers.
Experienced private duty Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) offer 24-hour care as needed. They are also available for temporary duty when family caregivers need to be away from home. Registered Nurses provide patient assessments, medical treatment and family education. LPNs give medications, change dressings and perform other skilled care tasks under the supervision of an RN.
Paramedics - Dobson is one of the pioneers in utilizing Paramedics in home health care and other staffing areas. Paramedics possess many of the same skills and training as nurses. That is why we make use of them in many situations in the home, hospital, physicians offices and elsewhere. Paramedics also function under the supervision of an RN.
All of these personnel are available through Dobson Healthcare. If all you need is a health care assessment or a visit we can do that as well. Whether it is once or a regularly scheduled event we can arrange it all for you.
Physical Therapy - Dobson rehabilitation therapists bring professional rehabilitative care to your home. We can help you regain skills temporarily lost through an accident, injury or illness.
Physical therapy can reduce pain, increase strength and endurance, and improve stability, helping patients return to normal activities.
Speech Therapy - Speech/language pathology works on improving speech and communication skills, as well as helping patients who experience difficulty with memory, decision-making, swallowing and eating.
Occupational Therapy - Occupational therapy helps patients improve activities of daily living (ADL) skills so they can remain as independent as possible. Occupational therapy addresses tasks such as eating, dressing, using the bathroom, bathing, preparing meals and managing things at home.
Medical Social Work - There are so many issues to consider when faced with the prospect of caring for a loved one who is ill or injured and requires skilled care at home or elsewhere. Let a skilled professional from Dobson help you, your family and loved one deal with the complex issues.
